On December 21, 2008 EZ Rental Center was dealt a devastating loss. Our Boss, Richard Todaro passed away from cancer. He was a great man who was one of a kind. He was our leader, our mentor, and our resident comedian. For me, Jack Todaro, he was also my father.
          The tasks he did on a daily basis, we had unfortunately taken for granted. After he was gone we realized just how much work he did. There was a lot of slack to pick up. He was a dedicated and devoted hard worker. He put in 35 years at E-Z Rental. A fact he reminded us of quite often.
Not a day passes where I don't think about him and what he would do in certain situations. In many ways, I feel like he is still with me.
          Often when I struggle with something at work, at home, or even on the golf course, I stop and ask myself, "What would Dad say?" Most times I get the same answer. "Do the best you can "Mook"! I'll love you no matter what." A simple thought; but one I've lived my life by. It's also what I'll tell my kids one day. And it's what we do at E-Z Rental when we open for business.
          Yes on 12/21/08 I lost my Dad to cancer. I also lost my boss, my best friend, and my hero. It's a lot to lose all at once. But, on 12/21/08 I also gained something that will be with me for the rest of my life. An angel.
